[Newsletter: Issue No. 2] When the Ego Screams, the Soul is Near

Dear Alchemist,

There’s something sacred that happens right before the breakthrough.

Often, it’s mistaken for failure. Or fear. Or the old self making a comeback.

But what if the moment we feel most constricted, the moment when the ego gets loud, when doubt rises, when we feel like backsliding, is actually the sign that transmutation is near?

I’ve come to realize that the ego is loudest right before we alchemize it.

It doesn’t want to be left behind, but not because it’s bad. Because it’s afraid it won’t be needed in what’s next.

That voice that says:

  • “You’re not ready.”
  • “What if they leave?”
  • “Don’t speak up.”
  • “Just stay where it’s safe.”

That voice got us this far.

It shaped our survival.

But it cannot shape our expansion.

And so, in the sacred art of releasing resistance, I’m learning to listen to the ego without obeying it.

To say, “Thank you for trying to protect me. But there’s a wiser part of me leading now.”

This week, if you find yourself spiraling, self-sabotaging, or second-guessing something you know in your bones is meant for you — breathe.

You’re not broken.

You’re not regressing.

You’re shedding.

You’re stepping into a version of you that doesn’t require the same defenses.

So if it feels loud, heavy, or uncomfortable…

Don’t push it away.

Don’t judge it.

Just whisper:

“I see you. I honor your effort. And I choose to soften anyway.”

Transmutation is messy, mystical, and magnificent.

Let it be all three.

In the art of remembering,
